If you choose to write us a check as a gift, please write it to Laura Shurtliff and/or Johnny Samsky. Since Laura is moving to Idaho after our wedding, she will have to change residency and get a new driver's license before she can get her name legally changed. Therefore, she will not be able to sign as Laura Samsky for a few months and any checks written in that name cannot be cashed. Thank you for understanding.

Yes. We ask that you don't post pictures to Facebook of the wedding or reception. If you take pictures, we would love to see them, but we ask that you share them to a private account after the wedding. We will provide a link.

Our wedding will be held during Mass at the Catholic Church. Please dress in semi-formal or formal attire. Since our wedding will be held within church, please dress appropriately for a church ceremony. Out of respect for God and our religion, we ask that you do not wear clothing that is too revealing or full of holes. We recommend knee length to floor length dresses for the ladies and dress pants and a dress shirt for the men. Thank you!

The weather in northern Nevada can be unpredictable. February is usually cold, sometimes with rain, snow, or wind. If you are traveling from out of state, we advise you to pack some warm clothes. Dressing in layers is usually a good idea, since temperatures can warm up throughout the day, but get cold again suddenly. Make sure you have a jacket or coat. You may want to bring a few different types of shoes as well.

We won't be providing alcohol at the reception, it is a Bring Your Own event. We will have wine for toasting.
